Cathy and her husband, John, have lived in Villa Park for 33 years. They have a daughter, Margaret, who resides in nearby Elmhurst, IL. Cathy and John attend St. Alexander's Catholic Church. John is currently a Guidance Counselor at Joliet Catholic Academy.

Cathy's business background is both in the corporate and non-profit areas. Early in her career,Cathy served in various senior positions at Dun & Bradstreet and NEC Technologies. Most recently Cathy held the position of CEO/Executive Director of a 3,500-member society affiliated with the American Hospital Association. In addition, she served as Adjunct Professor of Marketing and International Business at both Lewis University and Dominican University in their graduate business schools.

“For the 33 years I have lived in DuPage County I have seen many changes and yet only one political party representing the residents of the county. Many times as I would go into the voting booth, there would be one choice of political party for the many positions of leadership of DuPage County. This year, I decided that the time had come for me to stand up for the people of the second district and offer them a choice. As a lifelong Democrat, I am proud of the history we have in supporting people before profit, (putting people first) and bringing new ideas to the table. After all, I believe a Board member working in a bi-partisan environment should provide for the best solutions in resolving issues in the daily lives of the people of DuPage County.”
