County government must take the lead in working to make good-paying jobs available to all residents who are willing to work. In particular, we need to support small businesses. Local entrepreneurs create new products and services that employ new workers, and small business' money is much more likely to stay in the local community.

For regulation, there needs to be a balance. We need to carefully consider the rules of the game so that they provide a level playing field, not burdening local entrepreneurs but protecting the rights of working people and the quality of life for everyone.

Above all, any regulations and/or financial support must be fair, without any favoritism towards those businesses which support political campaigns.
